Engineering: Planning, Analysis, Design, Response and Recovery of
Civil Engineering Systems
The textbook recommended for use with the Hurricane Engineering curriculum is currently being developed by a multidisciplinary team of faculty at the Louisiana State University Hurricane Center. It is designed to be the first comprehensive text book to address the multiple hazards associated with hurricanes: extreme winds, storm surge flooding, river flooding, rain-induced landslides, windborne debris, wind-driven rain, among others. Contributions will be made from a variety of disciplines including civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, coastal science, landscape architecture, and environmental studies. |
